Dear Honorary Commander Alums,
We are looking for you!
I am proud to announce the formation of the Blue Blazer Squadron. This “alumni organization” under the direction of Fighter Country Partnership (FCP) is a tremendous opportunity to become involved with FCP as it continues its unprecedented support of the mission and the men and women who serve at Luke AFB.
The Blue Blazer Squadron will be an initial group of 56 “active” former honorary commanders, who have lived the mission at Luke through their experience on base and now want to continue to exercise their support by becoming a part of an exclusive FCP program. “Blue Blazers” will be ambassadors and the visible representation of FCP to the community. We will also be providers of service in support of FCP activities and fundraisers as we support the FCP Top Ten List, its direct support effort to the base. Also, we will have a great time with fellow Blue Blazers in the process!
The size of the active membership is limited to 56, as I mentioned above, and a selection process may be implemented to select the most passionate individuals. While this is NOT a continuation of your honorary commander relationship with the base, it is a requirement that you have been an Honorary Commander to be a member of the Blue Blazer Squadron.
Beginning with the induction ceremony in January and throughout 2013, the Blue Blazer Squadron will be actively involved in a few must attend critical events, along with other unique, significant and supportive activities!
Below is an application that I encourage you to complete online by the deadline of November 15, 2012. Please do not hesitate to contact me at patrick.mcdermott@aps.com or Bruce Larson at Larson.bruce@ymail.com if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Patrick McDermott, member
FCP Board of Directors, Chairman Honorary Commander Committee
Sorry, the application deadline has past.
