Rick Hearn - Vestar

Rick joined Vestar Development Co.in 1994 as the Director of Leasing and is the Designated Broker for Vestar Properties, Inc. His responsibilities include the leasing and broker management of the company’s 19 million square foot retail portfolio, excluding Los Angeles, whether its development, operational, or third party management assets located throughout Arizona and southern California.

He is a long-standing member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) as a volunteer executive; the current Co-Chairman of the Western Division Conference, a thirteen state regional program (2007 – 2009) and responsible for its restructuring and implementation as a regionally planned event hosting 7,000 attendees annually; Arizona’s former State Political Action Committee Chairman and founder (2005 – 2008); and, an Arizona past State Director (2002 – 2005) for this 1,100 member organization.

Rick is a member of Valley Partnership, one of its Board members (since 2006) and is active in his second term; his current assignment, as Board Liaison, includes the restructuring and re-introduction of the organization’s Membership Committee. This 500 member, Phoenix based organization, advocates responsible real estate development and presents a balanced, pro-development perspective for the entire Phoenix metropolitan area.

Through both organizations, Rick is actively involved in promoting responsible legislation for the retail development industry having local, statewide, or western region implications and impact.
Rick is a graduate from the University of Phoenix, with honors, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Human and Fiscal Resources, complimenting his prior collegiate experience at Arizona State University’s – College of Business, majoring in Real Estate with an emphasis in Finance.

He is community-minded, with his support for many local charities and organizations. He and his wife, Ann, enjoy their family with two sons and a granddaughter southwestern art, collegiate sports, traveling and many outdoor activities to include golf, skiing and water sports.
