December 2007, Andrew’s was delighted to cater a picnic at Luke Air Force Base for the 944th Fighter Wing members and their families.  Over 1200 hungry people enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of good food, good friends and a good time.

Unfortunately this year, the budget for the event was slashed.  Because so many of the 944 Fighter Wing are still deployed in Iraq, continuing the tradition of hosting such an event for the families was important.  The Base was able to get the side dishes donated, Andrew’s was able to convince Shamrock Foods to donate the hot dogs and chicken, and three of our Andrew’s BBQ staff were more than willing to volunteer their time to cook the hot dogs and chicken and serve up the food.  A good time was had by all.  Let’s hope that all the members of the 944 Fighter Wing are home safely for Christmas next year.
