McCain attended Fighter Country Partnership’s annual membership meeting Saturday where he was praised for his ongoing efforts to support Luke Air Force Base and its military and civilian employees and families. He was recognized by the organization for being a champion of Luke over his many years of public service. FCP Annual Base Programs Each year, our valued members and corporate partners enable FCP to host many events designed to bring the community and the base closer together. The life of an Airmen and their family often rotates assignments every two years, so commonly a commander will change command of a squadron, group or wing level within 24 months. FCP supported events ease this transition by having many opportunities for social interaction between the community and the base. December 2007, Andrew’s was delighted to cater a picnic at Luke Air Force Base for the 944th Fighter Wing members and their families. Over 1200 hungry people enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of good food, good friends and a good time. Unfortunately this year, the budget for the event was slashed. Because so many of the 944 Fighter Wing are still deployed in Iraq, continuing the tradition of hosting such an event for the families was important.
