Sypris Electronics awarded new F-35 contract

A subsidiary of Sypris Solutions Inc. has been awarded additional orders to provide electronic assemblies for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Sypris Electronics said it now has received about $10 million from Northrop Grumman Information Systems for work on the program since 2005.

The F-35 is the Pentagon’s marquee fighter jet program. Lockheed Martin is the lead contractor.

Sypris provides electronic assemblies for the communications, navigation and identification avionics system for the program.
