A member of Fighter Country Partnership’s Board since 2008, and its current Chairman, Rick has been active on the Board focusing on the organization’s centric goals of supporting the service personnel, their families and the mission of the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base.

In 2010, at the invitation of the Wing Commander for Luke Air Force Base, Rick was asked to serve as an Honorary Group Commander, assigned to the 56th Maintenance Group. This 2-year program is designed to enhance and expand military/private sector awareness, promoting the military educational role that Luke AFB has locally, nationally and globally, while creating lasting relationships with many of the service personnel and their families.

Additionally, in 2010, this Rick’s FCP involvement led to a unique invitation by the Secretary of the Air Force to attend the USAF National Security Forum held annually at Maxwell AFB, participating in the Air Education Training Command’s Civic Leaders Immersion Program. This forum provides interaction and the sharing of private sector/military best practices with the future “General” class leadership from all five branches of the U.S. military and our global coalition partners. In his day job, Rick is Vice President of Leasing for Vestar. A retail shopping center company that develops, acquires and manages large format, open-air real estate projects. He oversees the leasing and marketing of the company’s retail real estate portfolio throughout the southwestern USA. Rick joined Vestar in 1994 as its Director of Leasing after a five-year career in the commercial real estate retail brokerage industry.

He is very active in his industry, a sixteen-year volunteer executive for ICSC, an international industry network/advocacy organization, the recipient in 2010 of ICSC’s “Trustee’s Distinguished Service Award”, a former ICSC Chairman Western Division-thirteen states and past ICSC State Director-Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico. Rick has also served as the Chairman of Valley Partnership (2012), a Phoenix-AZ based, real estate advocacy organization wherein he served on its board for eight years. He is a graduate from the University of Phoenix, with honors, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, minoring in Human Resources, complimenting his Business Administration curriculum, majoring in Real Estate and Finance, from Arizona State University.
