The 2011 tournament goals are to raise $125K in net proceeds for Luke AFB, its “Top Ten” list of services FCP supports, combined with the Officer’s Spouses Club (OSC) and their support services, all of which directly touch the base personnel and their families. Our tournament is becoming the premier charity golf event in the West Valley!
Where are we?
To date, we have already raised $55,000+ in net revenues, $40,000+ in in-kind donations and are better than half way to our goal! Thus, we’re now focused on the remaining Pin Flag (Sidewinder – 23) and Hanger (Tee Box – 29) sponsorships! By comparison to last year’s event, we raised $5,000 in total net proceeds, with a sold out tournament, on a limited budget and ability to truly focus on its true potential.
FCP is partnering with Jerry CoAngelo’s group (JDM), owners of the Wigwam Resort, and PING Golf to build a player experience & tournament that is light years ahead of the inaugural event in 2010. The event will include playing two of the resorts three courses, with an estimated 288 players, 72 foursomes, player gifts (PING putter, shirt, hats (retail value @ $250 est.)), golf towel, challenge coin, other give-a-ways, awards & prizes, raffle, silent auction and luncheon. The events planned include the typical long drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one car give-a-way, grenade tosses, ground-to-ground missile launches, poker hands and other creative hole venues – Once again we’ll invite many of Luke’s Airman to play in our foursomes to add to the experience!
Remaining Sponsorship & Player Options!

3) Raffle/Silent Auction Items
a. What Items – our relations with various companies/businesses or retailers who would want to donate products, memorabilia, freebies, travel destinations, golf outings, dining experiences, gift cards and the like. And, you can bet there will be some very “cool” Air Force memorabilia from the Base thrown into the mix! Dollar amounts will range from $25 gift cards to a $3,000 wine cooler donated by Sub-Zero, who now has a manufacturing facility in Goodyear close to the Base. If you would like to make a donation or have questions please contact Fighter Country Partnership.
b. How – The silent auction will begin online, most likely the week of May 9th, 2011. The silent auction will allow players to pre-bid on items prior to the event. The highest bids will be updated regularly at the end of each day or first thing in the morning. The silent auction rules including minimum bid increments and online cut off time will be posted on our website soon.
THANK YOU to all our Sponsors. Without YOUR support we could not reach our goal this year!
