FCP impact felt throughout community

Exec. Director / President - Ron Sites

I’d like to share a story about a person I met a few weeks ago. I was at a local restaurant about to have lunch when an older gentleman came up to me and introduced himself. I was wearing a Fighter Country Partnership polo and he noticed (and liked) the logo. I invited him to sit down and I proceeded to tell him about Fighter Country Partnership and what we do to support Luke Air Force Base. He mentioned that he had served in the Air Force back in the 1970s and that his grandson was currently stationed at Luke.

Fighter Country Foundation Steps it up a notch

Exec. Director / President - Ron Sites

From the Desk of Fighter Country Partnership,

We are excited to unveil a new initiative within the operations of Fighter Country Foundation…the “FAAR Fund” (Facility Advancement And Relief Fund). As FCP and FCF continue forward with sustaining its important role of providing programs and services that are geared towards Health & Human Services, Culture & Tradition and Mission Sustainability, we will also add to the resume of supporting “facilities” on the base directly.

We recently got word from the Department of the Air Force that our request to “renovate Luke Fire House #1” has been approved, which has been an internal initiative for years in the making. This is an unprecedented….

Another year sustaining our mission

Posted on December 18, 2014 by Fighter Country

Exec. Director / President - Ron Sites

From the Desk of Fighter Country Partnership,

During a recent “year in review” meeting I was asked what I was most proud of this year and I sat there silent. The more dumbfounding thing is that as I sat there in silence, I was literally saying to myself, “why are you not speaking, FCP has done more than ever.” My simple response was that it has been another great year and we have been able to sustain the success we have had over the past four years since I had the opportunity to lead FCP.

I was still frustrated with myself because I couldn’t immediately highlight some of the fantastic functions we were a part of. Luke Days Open House and Air Show, Mission Support Group’s Start Small – Save Big Finance Expo, expanding our Blue Blazer Squadron, building stronger relationships with FCP supporters, welcoming a new Wing Commander and 4 Group Commanders…..

FCP’s Future: A Strong Path Forward

Posted on September 11, 2014 by Fighter Country

Exec. Director / President - Ron Sites

From the Desk of Fighter Country Partnership,

FCP’s main goal is to sustain the programs and services we have initiated over the past years. This goal hasn’t only been stressed by our Board of Directors; it is echoed loudly by the Senior Leadership at Luke AFB. We are proud of the expectations we have created, and within every new endeavor we approach, we will ensure it won’t negatively affect our current programs and services.

The programs and services FCP provides have become very standardized for all the right reasons. The programs are repetitive because we are consistently serving a new demographic due to the continuous turnover of families at Luke AFB. This is perfect from the base’s perspective, but at FCP, we don’t want to become complacent with our current menu of services.

As FCP maintains, we will now focus on growing Fighter Country Foundation (FCF). This has been a goal for many years, and we are now in a position to let FCP continue on its strong path and focus on FCF’s next mission supporting Luke AFB in a much larger way.

How you can support our military families

Posted on March 24, 2014 by Fighter Country

Ron Sites, Executive Director FCP

This is usually the opportunity I take to educate our partners, supporters and community about the great programs, services and unique experiences we have brought to the airmen and their families at Luke AFB.  But this time, I will not explain the Financial Saves Expo, Fiesta Bowl Parade, 56th Fighter Wing Annual Awards Dinner, Luke AFB Spouses Dining-In Event or the 2nd Annual Dorm Dweller Holiday Party and their respective successful outcomes.

What I will do is explain once again “how we make these amazing things happen”.  It is because of the great financial support we receive from the Arizona community “and” our golf tournament, that we can afford to bring programs and services to Luke families that enhance their quality of life.

Reflection of 2013

Posted on October 16, 2013 by Fighter Country

Ron Sites, Executive Director, Fighter Country PartnershipAt FCP, we take this time of year to prepare our strategic plan for 2014. To thoroughly complete this process, it is important to understand what has taken place over the last 12 months, so we take the time needed to identify all of the areas where we have directed our M.I.T. – Money – Information – Time. I am constantly amazed every year when we complete this task because it is an incredibly positive reminder to all of the awesome accomplishments we have achieved. Some items are routine while others are unique to an identified new area of need and FCP has filled the gap.

FCP prepared for increased role due to Sequestration

Posted on March 7, 2013 by rsites

Ron Sites at the CapitalFCP has enjoyed a relationship with Luke that is so unique, mainly due to the fact that we have been given the opportunity to bring successful prototypical programs to Luke that no other military installations are able to accomplish. The successes of these events are being recognized by senior leaders in the AF, thereby causing other military installations in the country to ask “how are you able to do this?”

FCP provides support in three areas – Health & Human Services, Culture & Tradition, and Advocacy.  The importance of advocating in support of Luke’s mission is critical, because without Luke, we would not be a part of the other two areas that are incredibly rewarding.  FCP plays a valuable role in enhancing our Airmen’s quality of life while they are stationed at Luke.  Whether we are funding summer camps for Autistic children, assisting with amazing wellness expos for the men and women…

FCP’s 2012 – A Year to Remember

Posted on January 22, 2013 by Fighter Country

Our role in supporting Health & Human Services, Culture and Tradition and Advocating on behalf of Luke AFB has been a monumental one in 2012.  We will share with you a bullet point list of events and programs FCP either pioneered or partnered in to support our beloved Fighter Country. Before we get to “the list,” the first highlight has to be the Record of Decision.  The DoD’s decision for Luke to be the next training base for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, is far and away the biggest news of the year.  With that decision, we now have…

Men’s Tune Up for Health Wellness & Car Show Exceeds Expecetations

Posted on October 18, 2012 by Fighter Country

Smoky Muffler Booth at 2012 Men's Health Expo and Car ShowThomas Fuller said “Health is not valued until sickness comes”. This is a very true statement. Men are generally not attentive to their health and wellness. FCP was honored to be a part of an inaugural event that was sponsored by the Medical Group at Luke AFB. The event was the Luke AFB Men’s Tune Up for Health Wellness and Car Show.

Historically, it has been a challenge to get men to attend wellness events. The Med Group addressed this issue by implementing the idea of hosting a golf tournament, as well as a car show. The car show brought in approximately 80 amazing automobiles for display, and the golf tournament hosted approximately 120 golfers.
