Bill Johnston is the Program Coordinator for Fighter Country Partnership. He comes to the organization after finishing a 23-year career in the United States Air Force. He met his wife as they both graduated from Basic Military Training. They were married after completing training in the Aerospace Medicine and Public Health.
During his time in the Air Force they had nine assignments that brought them all over the United States, Europe, the Middle East and the Korean peninsula. In 2010, he deployed with a Contingency Response Group to help deliver over 1 million pounds of aid in the form of water, food and medicine to the displaced population of Haiti after a devastating earthquake hit that region.
His final two years in the Air Force were with the Headquarters Staff at Luke Air Force Base where he was the Superintendent of the Protocol Office. In this capacity, he served as the primary event coordinator and planner for numerous large scale events that featured the men, women and mission of Luke Air Force Base. He designed itineraries that brought the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force to Luke along with many other senior military, defense industry executives, and elected officials.
He is married to Joanne and has two kids, Cydney and Albert. Cydney is a certified Medical Assistant and Albert will be studying Musical Theatre at ASU in 2016.
